La Tatacoa Natural History Museum currently has some scientific publications led by different Colombian researchers with the participation of institutions from different countries. Among the most recent publications are the largest freshwater turtle that inhabited our planet, the first fossil dolphin found in Colombia, a new species of turtle familiar with the hicoteas of the Caribbean coast, a new species of anteater and the redescription of the Scirrotherium, a species of giant armadillo.
Through these collaborations we have been able to identify new species that inhabited La Tatacoa and rewrite some of those for which we did not have much material available, and today we have incredible complete specimens in our collection.
