The MHNT has different spaces that have been created with the aim of providing children, youth and adults the opportunity to have an approach to paleontology, a science that focuses on the study of life in the past. Science education is a great challenge we have in Colombia since we do not have education programs in schools and universities so that students can develop skills that allow them to be paleontologists and generate knowledge through this science. For this reason, the MHNT has a collection of fossils, a laboratory, a library and other spaces that have been designed and created so our visitors can have a great immersion in this prehistoric world that tells how our ecosystems have changed over millions of years.

All research processes that are being developed from the museum are aimed at the social appropriation of knowledge and the strengthening of education of new generations so that in the future Colombia will be a pioneer in paleontological research.
